Our blankets are machine washable. Recommended maximum temperature is 40 degrees Celsius. Do not tumble dry. To preserve the shape and structure of our blanket we advise to dry them flat.

All materials used are Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX certified which means they have been tested for harmful substances and are harmless for human health. Our product has strictest class 1 certification therefore are safe for delicate baby skin.

How are POOFI blankets made?
First and foremost we need an idea for the color scheme and kind of weave we want to use. Inspiration comes from many sources including knitting forums, sweater weaves. We modify those ideas to suit our needs.
Next step is sending the project to a weaving mill and making samples. Weave is translated into code for weaving machines, tested and corrected to ensure the final product will not deform. Sometimes during sample weaving chosen weave needs to be changed or even the whole project canceled.
Weaved samples go through a series of tests. They are washed and dried to check if everyday use will not alter their shape or qualities.
At the same time the color scheme is being decided. Color samples are being delivered to the laboratory. To avoid mistakes we use Pantone color codes.
After about two to four weeks coloured samples come back to us. If they match our expectations we produce a batch of dyed yarn which then goes to the weaving mill.
After being made, blankets are sent to an eco-friendly washhouse, where blankets size is being set, all loose stitches shrunk, and with a use of safe laundry detergents production process finished.
Finally labels get sawn on and blankets are ready to be paired, folded and packed.
Path that every blanket takes seems long and complicated but the final effect is worth every effort. We love our blankets and know that making them will never get boring.
